The Eliza Thompson House consists of 12 rooms in the "Main House" and 13 rooms in the "Carriage House," which overlooks the courtyard. The rooms at the Eliza Thompson House reflect the paint colors and style of the home's original decor.  Each room has premium soaps and amenities, bathrobes, a modern, private bath, and complimentary wireless Internet access. A hairdryer, iron and ironing board are also provided in each room.

The Carriage House Rooms:

Courtyard Carriage House

Each Carriage House Room is uniquely styled, but all feature either a queen or king size bed, and antique furnishings.  Details, such as antique art and accessories, make each room a delight.   French doors open onto our signature courtyard with flowing fountain and koi pond.

* Carriage House Rooms with a Queen Size Bed
Featuring one queen bed, 9' ceilings and antique furnishings.   These rooms include The Lafayette, The Orleans, The Eliza, The Joseph ,The Charlton, The Douglas, The Monterey and The Habersham rooms. Each has a perfect view of the Garden Courtyard just steps away.

*  Carriage House Rooms with a King Size Bed:

The Wesley

Featuring one king bed, unique décor, antiques and accessories.   These rooms include The Liberty, The Gwinnett, The Wesley, The Lincoln and The Gordon.  The Wesley is a particular favorite of the Eliza Thompson House staff and is located on the ground floor near the koi pond and fountain.

Main House Rooms:

The three floors of Eliza Thompson House's "Main House" contain some of   the most exquisite rooms in Savannah.  Each room is unique, but here you'll find four-poster rice beds, in Queen Size and King Size, 12'  ceilings, antique sofas, armoires, dressing tables, ornate fireplaces, bay windows, hardwood floors and oriental rugs.

Deluxe Rooms in the Main House:

*  The R. Bruce Room (Deluxe Queen)

The R. Bruce Room One queen, four poster rice bed, a stunning 12' draped ceiling, antique sofa, dressing table, flat screened television with DVD player, ornate fireplace, hardwood floors and oriental rug.  This room is located on the 3rd floor of the "Main House."  It's one of the Inn's finest and most romantic rooms. The perfect choice for a special weekend for two. 

*  The J. Stephen Room (Deluxe Queen)

The J. Stephen RoomThis room features one queen, four poster rice bed, 12' ceiling, ceiling fan and a small brick ornate fireplace.   Located on the 3rd Floor of the Eliza Thompson House's "Main House," The J. Stephen Room has two windows overlooking historic Jones Street and its moss-draped trees.  A bay window on the opposite wall overlooks the garden courtyard.  Features a whirlpool bath, and a flat screened television with DVD player.  Returning guests often request this room for their next stay.

* The Lindsey Room  -  (Deluxe King)

The Lindsey RoomThis room features one king, four poster rice bed, a 12' ceiling, antiques, hardwoods floors, Oriental rug and a flat screened television with DVD player.  Leather chairs, ornate fireplace and warm colors give this room a rich masculine feeling.

Queen Rooms in the Main House:

* The Johnston Room (3rd Floor)  and The Carter  Room (Parlor Level)

The Johnston RoomBoth rooms feature one queen four-poster rice bed, 12' ceilings and a ceiling fan.   Appointed with an antique armoire, and large ceiling to floor windows that overlook the garden courtyard.

Queen  Rooms in the Main House, Lower Level:

* The Savannah Room and The Oglethorpe Room

The Savannah RoomQuaint, romantic and very reasonably priced.  These rooms feature one queen bed, antique furnishings, non-working brick fireplaces and hardwood floors. Both rooms are located on the ground floor.

Rooms with Two Queen Beds in the Main House:

The St. Julian Room*  Featuring two queen beds, hardwood floors, 12 foot ceilings and an antique furnishings and accessories.   These rooms are slightly larger than our single rooms, and are perfect for a friends' or family getaway.

Room with Two Double Beds in the Main House:

The Chatham RoomFeatures two double beds and hardwood floors.

Room with One Double Bed in the Main House:

* The Lee Room

The Lee RoomThe Lee Room has one double bed, a small, non-working fireplace, a flat screen television with DVD player and two chairs.  Unique features include a 12-foot ceiling, plantation shutters and a bay window overlooking the beautiful oak trees on Jones Street. A charming exposed brick wall separates the bedroom and bath. This room is not as large as others, but is one of the most welcoming and comforting rooms in the house.  It was used as a child's nursery in the 1850s.
