The J. Stephens Room

Located on the third floor of the Main House, The J. Stephens Room has two windows overlooking historic Jones Street and its moss-draped trees. A bay window on the opposite wall overlooks the garden courtyard. Returning guests often request this room for their next stay.

The Lee Room
Main House Queen
The Lee Room has a 12' ceiling with a small chandelier, a small (non-working) fireplace, plantation shutters, and a bay window overlooking the beautiful oak trees on cobblestoned Jones Street. A charming, exposed-brick wall separates the bedroom and private bath. This room was used as a child's nursery in the 1850s and is one of the most welcoming and comforting rooms in the house.

A Note About Children
Because many of our guests are couples enjoying an anniversary or other romantic occasion, we do not allow children. We encourage you to book one of our sister properties: Olde Harbour Inn, East Bay Inn, or The Marshall House if you're travelling with anyone under the age of 21.
A Note About Accessibility
The Eliza Thompson House was built in 1847 and is registered with the Historic Savannah Foundation as an authentic historic property. This property is not accessible, and there are no accessible guest rooms.
The home has rooms on four levels, most of which involve some stairs. Because of the historic nature of this home, and the architectural norms at the time of construction, doorways and walkways are not wheelchair accessible. Routes from our public entrance to guestrooms, dining areas, and registration desk are also not accessible.
We do not have an elevator, but please count on us to gladly assist you with your bags. If you believe this historic home will not be a good match for you, we are happy to help you with reservations at our sister properties that do have an elevator: The Marshall House, East Bay Inn, or The Kehoe House.
